Batting Cage Rules

  1. Participants MUST always wear a batting helmet when inside the batting cages.
  2. Participants MUST wear appropriate shoes. TENNIS OR TURF SHOES ONLY.  Cleats of any type (molded or metal) will not be allowed on the turf. 
  3. No gum, seeds or food is allowed on the turf. Water is the only liquid allowed on the turf.  Harbor Hits has a filtered water dispenser but does not provide cups.  BRING A WATER BOTTLE.
  4. Parents/Guardians are responsible for the actions of their children in the lounge/office and dugout areas.
  5. Harbor Hits does not provide helmets, bats or gloves/mitts unless we have made prior arrangements. It is expected that all participants will arrive with the appropriate gear to participate.
  6. The hitting of baseballs will ONLY take place inside of the batting cages.
  7. Participants are expected to leave with all of their gear and place any trash/debris in the garbage when they leave.
  8. Harbor Hits will not be liable for items left in the facility. Our lost-and-found area is next to the dugout door to the front entrance.  Lost-and-found items will be donated as space is needed.
  9. Misconduct can result in immediate termination of privileges. Horseplay/fooling around will not be tolerated.
  10. No person under the influence of Drugs or Alcohol is permitted to use batting cages.
  11. No person under the age of 18 is allowed to operate any pitching machine.
  12. BE ALERT AT ALL TIMES! Thrown or batted baseballs can be dangerous.  Baseball bats can be dangerous.  Be aware of your surroundings and report unsafe situations to a coach or attendant immediately.
  13. Please report any defective or damaged nets, protective screens, turf or other equipment to Harbor Hits immediately.
  14. Harbor Hits is a family-friendly facility, no profanity or vulgar language/gestures will be permitted.
